What We Do?
Asraya is a registered organization of service minded ladies, mainly housewives and retired career women, motivated by concern, sympathy and love for the poor and suffering.
It was formed in Trivandrum, in 1996. by Mrs. Santha Jose who happened to accompany one of her relatives , a Cancer patient , to the Regional Cancer Center in Trivandrum. The people were running around not knowing whom to approach, to get their problems solved.

Our objectives
Our objectives are to light the darkness seen around us with a listening ear, a soothing touch and caring expression, a hand held out with what they need, be it clothing, a hot drink, a book, a toy, a word of comfort and sharing of faith, medicines or money for their surgery or treatment, money for an ambulance. We give homemade food to the patients on their request.

Testimonials
ManijrajManiraj was an orphan and had only a sister.He was in the habit of chewing tobacco and paanparag. He developed mouth cancer and became depressed when his disease began to spread rapidly. His sister Maya took care for both their needs. We promised Maniraj, that we would care for her if anything happened to him. He passed away and we found a job for her. He died a peaceful death knowing she was in safe hands. We keep in touch with her and she will be well cared for and protected by us till we find a life partner for her. Maya is at present employed in a leading group of hotels and is well looked after in a convent.
